Over the past 3-years according to the SEC (page 49 ), Cisco CEO John Chambers has been paid a staggering:
$45,623,292.00
To underperform the NASDAQ-100 Stock Index (NDX ) by a whoppingly catastrophic:
-242%
I mean dagnamit, the Cisco stock price itself is included in the NASDAQ-100 Stock Index for heaven's sake.
And the bad news doesn't stop there either, no siree, because Cisco is also included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI ).
Scandalously, Chambers was also paid $45.6 million to underperform the lumbering Dow Jones Industrial Average by an outrageously despicable:
-160%
Furthermore, Cisco's stock price is included in the S&P 500 Stock Index (GSPC ).
Again, Chambers was paid $45.6 million to underperform the S&P 500 Stock Index by a Cisco shareholder wealth destroying:
-184%
Believe it or not, all of the bad news above happens to be the really good news!
So what then is the really bad news?
Well according to Cisco , over the next 3-years compared to the previous 3-years:
Data center CAGR will plummet -99.51%
Wireless CAGR will nosedive -15.07%
Services CAGR will drop -4.55%
Core CAGR will fall -2.89%
Heck, perhaps Cisco's independent Board of Directors will now vote for a pay raise to reward John Chambers for delivering such robust 3-year CAGR projections.
