HP E5400 zl and HP 8200 zl switches vs. Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 4500 switches

HP commissioned the Tolly Group to competitively compare its E5400 zl and E8200 zl switches to Cisco's 3750-X and 4500 switches.
According to Tolly's report, HP's switches delivered up to 44.5% in TCO savings for resilient management solutions when compared to Cisco.
And with regard to non-resilient management solutions, HP switches delivered up to 55.3% in TCO savings over Cisco's switches.
Additionally, Tolly reports that HP's switches delivered close to 3 to 8 times higher aggregate throuput than Cisco's switches.
While HP switches also delivered around 2 to 10 times lower latency than Cisco switches.
Furthermore, Tolly reports that HP's switches consumed between 17% to 26% less power (ATIS-weighted average power) than Cisco's switches.
Finally, Tolly concluded that HP switches offered a range of 17.4% to 26% in cooling and power cost savings when compared to Cisco's switches.
