Last week during Cisco's Q2'FY15 earnings conference call, Cisco CEO John Chambers bragged:
"Our Q2 results reflect continued progress as we transformed Cisco to become the number one IT company."
Yet simultaneously last week, Red Hat CEO Jim Whitehurst alarmingly stated the following in Business Insider:
"Like the manufacturers were in the 1970s and 1980s were fighting for their lives, today's IT departments are going to fight for their survival.
"I was on phone with the CIO of a large insurance company a half hour ago. His point was that business people can all go outside of IT to get the tech they need and he needed to develop devops capabilities to compete."
