Earlier this week I blogged about Cisco's #2 security executive, Scott Lovett, bolting for Intel Security?
Now amazingly, even Cisco's #1 security executive, Chris Young, is bolting (there's a rumor he's the new CEO of Intel Security i.e. McAfee).
Young was replaced by long-time (14-years) Cisco executive, David Goeckeler, who most recently was the Cisco Security Technology Group Vice President of Engineering.
According to a Cisco blog earlier this week:
"David Goeckeler is assuming leadership responsibilities for Cisco's Security Business Group (SBG) effective immediately."
Cisco continued:
"David played a key role in last week's launch of the Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services next-generation firewall (NGFW).
"His efforts also directly contributed to a report issued today by NSS Labs that shows Cisco as a leader in security effectiveness in its 2014 NGFW Security Value Map (SVM)."

NSS Labs - Cisco Security Product Analysis Reports:
- Cisco ASA 5525-X v5.3.1
- Cisco ASA 5585-X SSP60 v5.3.1
- Cisco FirePOWER 8350 v5.3
- Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) Security Value Map - September 2014
However, the following top 5 security executives appear to be staying at Cisco (at least for now):
