Cisco CEO John Chambers' whack-a-mole successor contestants
Competitors are offering Cisco CEO John Chambers' whack-a-mole successor contestants compensation that's 5-times what they get at Cisco. But perhaps because of the Cisco cult of personality that worships Chambers, they appear to be staying.
Yesterday, Cisco CEO John Chambers bragged to Bloomberg that competitors are offering Cisco's top executives compensation that's 5-times what they get at Cisco, but they just won't leave their executive gigs at Cisco.
Naturally according to the Bloomberg article, this kind of loyalty and devotion as shown by Cisco's top executives requires that Chambers stay on as Cisco's CEO for yet another 4-years and at the very least, as Chairman thereafter.
I mean, how better to reward the loyalty and devotion of Cisco's top executives then have John Chambers stay on as CEO for yet another 4-years!
According to Cisco's form DEF 14A filed today (page 35) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Cisco COO Gary Moore might be turning down offers from Cisco's competitors for as much as $41 million per year (5-times his FY12 total direct Cisco compensation).
So today Cisco's stock price did what it does best in reaction to the good news last evening that John Chambers will be staying on as Cisco's CEO for yet another 4-years and as Chairman thereafter:
